Specialist in hand and wrist surgery
Mr Sauve graduated as a doctor from Imperial College, School of Medicine at St Mary's Hospital Medical School, London in 1998.
He undertook general trauma and orthopaedic surgery training in Hampshire and Dorset and specialist hand fellowship training at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, London and then at the Pulvertaft Hand Centre, Derby.

Mr Sauve works closely with the hand therapy team. The hand therapists provide advice to patients on the day to day management of various hand conditions or injuries and guide patients through their postoperative rehabilitation. They also fabricate thermoplastic splints in the hand therapy clinic. Mr Sauve can refer you to the hand therapy team following a clinic consultation or surgery.
Please contact Suzanne, Mr Sauve's practice manager, to arrange a consultation or just even to ask a question about our service.
Mr Sauve uses clinical outcome scoring systems to monitor his patients’ conditions and progress. These help to measure the quality of the treatment that he provides. In the lead up to your operation you may be asked to complete a questionnaire. You will be asked to complete subsequent questionnaires at various time intervals following your treatment. Mr Sauve will be happy to guide you through this process. Committed to clinical excellence, Mr Sauve hopes that the information collected will help to maintain the high standards of care for his patients.
Mr Sauve has a strong clinical research interest. His projects have been presented nationally and internationally at specialist orthopaedic and hand society meetings. This research has also been published in international peer review journals.
As well as teaching the next generation of orthopaedic surgeons locally, Mr Sauve teaches on national courses at the Pulvertaft Hand Centre in Derby and at the Royal College of Surgeons in London.
